Day 40 - Its the Weekend

Up about 9:30, going out to the parent's to fix their internet, get there and reboot the router back up and running. Then they mention they can't print colour anymore and haven't been able to for sometime, so I check it out - yeah they can't print colour.... but I look in the printer check out the ink cartridges, pulls out the colour one and low and behold it still has its protective film on - doh !!! Now they can print in colour!

Wife is working today, so will get some peace and quiet to do the two laptops I have to repair. I pick the Fujitsu one, big mistake, what a nightmare to take apart, need about 2 pairs of hands for this one, getting a wee bit stressed, the thought of a cigarette did cross my mind (it’s the voices) but only briefly. Find out what I need and have twice as much bother putting it back together, that's it I'm having a fag............... joking!!

Sitting down to watch Man United v Blackburn with a tin of tennents, pondering what I will order from the Indian.
X Factor tonight, what makes it even better my all time favourite band are on - Bon Jovi, cannae wait.

I had just noticed I hadn't seen the cat most of day, I check outside in case he somehow got out, no sign, check upstairs and I can't get in our bedroom, the carpet is sticking, I eventually get in and realise the cat has been in here all day and had scraped the carpet up and there is a big pee on the leather bean bag, it runs out downstairs straight to the litter tray.

Got a heap of bag's of sweets made up for trick or treaters coming round, there are quite a few come round, I always ask for a joke nowadays, but they ain't so good, all they are after is the sweets !!! My youngest had the best joke, 'why did 6 run away from 7, because 7 8(ate) 9!!!!

Oh my fuckin god, wife home at 9, we sit down for X Factor, rock week, cannae wait, young Joe first, one of my best songs by Journey, cool, no hold on it cuts out, nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, it bloody failed, I cannot believe it, my god I throw a wobbler, I am so pissed off, fuck fuck fuck. I get on the net and get X Factor site and get to watch the acts but it ain't the same, we do that for all acts, taping it at midnight now.


I have passed my pissed off stage and we watch Drag me to Hell as its Halloween, pretty jumpy, I totally enjoyed it.

Day 39 - Friday, Hopefully a Better Day

Up at 5:30, get 6:30 bus, get to work, have tea and toast and take my pill, I didn't forget today.
The worst thing about getting in early is the morning really drags and with not smoking you can't pop outside to break up the morning.
Pop out for lunch and get lentil soup, sausage roll & beans, cheese & onion crisps, mars bar & a can of coke, I really will need to watch as if I continue like this I will be turning into a little fattie!!
Going to be busy busy this afternoon so it flys by...

I lied, I did nowt, apart from Harriet (the expert) training me in some new handheld software but somehow she trained me in the wrong thing!!!

Oh well get home head for a couple of Friday night pint's but need to be quick as the wife is going to B I N G O tonight, plus I have a couple of laptop's to look at tonight, one of which don't look to good but will see what I can do.

Just looked out the back door (not for a cigarette) and spot the bloody cat, it's not meant to be allowed out yet and its chucking it down with rain, it looks like a droont rat, quickly get it in before the wife get's home!!!

Start watching a new programme I have on my Sky planner called NCIS:Los Angeles, looks pretty good so far.

Bollock's she has just came in and can tell the cat has been out already, ok slight give away when I didn't dry it!!!

Day 38 - I Hate The Bus!

What a bloody day.
Have a slightly fuzzy head, so I'm up a bit later, wife rushes me out the house so we can get the youngest to school. But I'm really pushing for time, we leave the school with about a minute to drop me before the bus comes - pull out onto the main street and it's in front of us, it's bloody early and I then realise I forgot to take a pill fuck fuck fuck !!! As I'm busy losing the plot Cat says she will take them into me later (just an excuse for her to go shopping) We get passed the bus get to the next stop jump out of the car while it's still moving to stop the bus, lose my bloody trainer but stop the bus get on and chillllll.

But my day just gets better and better.....

Cat comes in about 11 with my pills and guess what she's going for a rake round the shops!

Hometime it's 16:08 head off for the bus which should turn up about 16:21 but no it doesn't 16:35 it comes that's us fucked with traffic already. There is a guy sitting about 2 seats away absolutely stinking of fish it's so bad I need to move further back closer to the annoying chavs. Here we go a couple of junkies get on with a heap of pensioners because we're late there's more folk getting the bus and already I can tell they are 2 stop stoppers, yeah I'm right, god it really pisses me off - 'get the FUCKIN town bus' I feel like shouting oh and fish boy gets off next he should be on town bus also. Next the bus pulls into the next stop, sit for about ten minutes, what the hell is going, there's no old biddy coming on there's no bloody driver ! Hold on we hear two bangs then he appears from outside and in broken English says 'the bus is broken down' fanfuckintastic ! And at that another bus just passed us! Right I decide I will start walking and try and flag a taxi - I end up walking 3 dam miles, of the 4 taxis available that passed not one takes me on. You won't believe this but the next bus I could of caught has just broken down in Dyce outside a pub. I phone my mate Simon who laughs at my predicament but agrees to come for me, while I wait for him, yes you guessed it I went in the pub for what I feel was a well deserved pint.
Get home watch Lie to Me and off to bed. Hope tomorrow is better!

Day 37 - Pub Night

I get the 6:30 bus but it feels more like the zombie bus ! I realise as I'm half way to work I have forgotten to take a pill this morning ! Bloody hell already the little voice is there, doubting whether I can make it through the day until I get home to get my fix !
Just got to blank these thoughts and keep busy today.
Get through the day fine and take a pill as soon as I get home, have my tea fix a laptop and head to the bar for a few beers and game of pool. Added bonus Celtic got beat by Hearts! Frank and Mike are out for a couple, I win about 3 games, Frank 4 and Mike about 2 he can't stop fouling tonight. Glass of red and that's us off home.

Day 36 - Last Cessation Class

Well this is it today is the last class...........
Get to work in plenty of time and myself and Carly get picked up by Yvonne and head to class (or fag club according to Jake). We wander if it will just be us three again.
Yvonne seems in a bit of a tiz today and it turns out she got a new cat but its not settling down to well, it escaped already but she got it back, it was pulling at her hair in the middle of the night, it was playing with the curtains and clooking her settee and to top it all it escaped this morning and hasn't been seen since.
Then she got a call from her husband to say he had forgotten his bank card and couldn't remember his pin for his other one and was stuck in Huntly with no fuel! I think her words were something along the lines what an idiot but slightly stronger.
At class and yes it’s just the 3 of us... Oh well we know the drill by now and Amber goes round the class as usual, oh but there is a mobile going off, it’s Yvonne's. It’s her son and all we hear is gasps and oh know your joking, oh my god! He got the cat back but he had been looking for it when he had heard a scream from the lady across the road and saw the cat sprinting away and he said that's my cat to which the old woman in her house coat, 'shouted tell your mither to keep that cat away fae me' It turns out the cat was in the woman's house in her bed and had jumped out when she went to her bedroom.
Right we start again, but there's a knock at the door it’s Barry who hasn't been here for two weeks and looking full of colour.... He and Yvonne exchange pleasantries and he gives her a hug, I'm like don’t give me a hug seriously, but no he sits down.
Third time lucky, so Barry is still off the cigarettes (8weeks) using patches and seems to be coping well, but has been doing shift work hence why he hasn't been here and he gets a 3 on the CMR which is still classed as a non smoker. Next up is Yvonne who again is still stopped going cold turkey and is doing really well and scores 2 on the CMR. Next is me 2 weeks now I have been stopped using the Champix and seem to be coping fine, still the occasional sore stomach fuzzy head, but apart from that ok and no minor slip ups this weekend and I score a 2 on the machine - ace. Next up is Carly, again cold turkey and coping really well but still hasn't been out at a weekend and reads 3 on the CMR, which is fine but her boyfriend is home today so she will be testing his house for carbon monoxide with her new tester.
That's it we're on our own........ But if we need help we can call Amber, I have pills for 8 weeks left.
Jake finally gets his phone today at 16:30, we know what he'll being doing tonight.
Watch Up with kids tonight, quite liked it better than I expected.

Day 35 - I Hate Monday's

Not bad weekend but always seems so quick when you get to work Monday morning.
Got up this morning wandered down the stairs half awake, opens the cupboard under the stairs to get a towel 'squelch' what the f*ck, bloody dog !! The puppy had shit at the door, no socks or slippers on and its right between my bloody toes! So its heel toe all the way the bathroom.
In the past when something like that happened I would probably of thought 'I need a cigarette' but not this morning doesn’t even cross my mind.
Not much happening at work but Jake is waiting on his replacement phone coming from Vodafone, he seems a bit excited doesn't take much... Anyhow he asks myself and Harriet to answer his phone if he is not about in case they phone to say its here. And I think every time he leaves his desk we phone his phone so it comes up unavailable on his caller display, we just say never heard it, cruel, I know.
Few TV programmes to catch up on tonight, Flash Forward - which was good again, Fringe good again and Ugly Betty quite funny.

Day 34 - Sunday Sunday

Clocks back today, I wander how many people forgot !!
Cat working early doors till 3, so should get for a couple pints about 3:30.
Anyhow get my housework done and play Halo for a couple of hours, this time we are in a team..
When Cat gets home I get to go out for a few beers before she goes to B I N G O, just the 3 of us today and we play pool and I'm totally beating Frank but doofus here pots the black, while still having 3 balls on the table!
Home now kids showered, ready for going back to school after tattie holidays, catching up on my UFC and the boys playing Xbox and their wrestling figures, Cat should be home about 10ish so will get results of X Factor.
Unbefuckinbelivable the twins survive - pathetic the bottom two Danyl and Miss Frank, the best group and one of the best solo guys, twins should of been there or Lloyd. Nae happy.
Goes to the public vote and Miss Frank go.

Day 33 - X Factor Night

One pc to fix this morning. No hangover today either which is a boost. Cat and the eldest are going to see the footie today and she was lying about the fleeces; thank god.
Have to say I did have an urge this morning for cigarette but I took the pill and got on with it and the feeling went.
Ok that's them gone it's halo time, that's me online 1st game, headphones on, now I don't normally speak into them or other players. But today, if your familiar with the game prior to playing you see a list of players and whether they have a headset with mike. Today there is about 8 players ready a go and myself and someone else has the headset on and some yank pipes up 'why you not speaking' and before I can reply he says 'oh well eat shit' and I was like ok 'f*ck off you wee shite and eat shit you c*cksucker' by then he left the game - twat ! I wish I could remember his gamertag in case we meet again!!!

Order Indian for myself and Dominos for the wife all set for x factor, big band week, not my favourite one, but they are all not bad but have to say Jamie is my favourite as usual, hope be stays in as rock week next week. Wife just came inside from a smoke and what a smell - was that once me !!!!! Lol.

Day 32 - Friday

I think the pills are having a strange effect on me today, random voices and strange noises are coming out of my mouth.
But according to Harriet I am always like that!!!
Was out at lunch time and was stuck behind some fag hag smoking and boy does it stink.
Had to listen to Jake on the phone to Vodaphone at lunchtime as his phone is faulty (bit like him) and I think he must of spoke to about 4 different people so I now know all his details off the top of my head.
Few pints after work then a blast at Halo tonight.

Oh my god the wife is taking the eldest to football, now I don't mind that but buying him an Aberdeen bloody fleece oh and she buys a matching one - pathetic.

I am just so full of shit today, well not done a poop for 2 days!!!

Holly shit have 4 pints and I really need to go to the toilet, jesus in bar toilet hope no one can hear! You ever seen dumb and dumber when he has the runs, that's pretty close to me right now, oh what a relief!!!! What a f*ckin stink though, I'm leaving after this.
Oh Christ can it get any worse the flush won't work, no It does and nooooo the toilet blocked the water came to top I'm out of here !!!!

Day 31 - Rough

I don't get it, I go to pub have two pints two glasses of red wine and this morning I feel like I have been on an all day bender ! But yet I can stay in have a bottle of red and feel brand new the next day... I think the lager must be off, see you at lunch time.

I think I have a bug.........

Feel better after lunch during which myself Jake and Harriet have an interesting conversation about zombies, old syle ones and the newer faster ones.

It really gets my goat when I get the bus home and some numpties get on the country bus and go two stops i.e 200 yards - get the BLOODY town bus !

This pills must be really starting to work as one of side effects is constipation and I really can't poop!!! But also cigarettes are apparently a mild laxative...

Youngest still up and we are watching Frannys Feet, surely it must be his bed time.

Day 31 - Pub Night

The more I think about the discussions yesterday at the class, I sort of think maybe the teeth whitening thing wouldn't be a bad idea - only if I didn't end up looking like Ross from Fiends (If you watched it you will know the episode I am meaning)

In my dream last night, I was buying 30 Marlboro light's, I couldn't believe it, I remember thinking what the hell are you doing and I actually woke up.
The little voices are making up dreams for me now!!
Anyhow get up for work rush around as usual, head out the door, get's within touching distance of the bus stop and realise I haven't taken my Champix pill! Bloody hell it’s pissing of rain and I have to run back to the house, I have like 4 minutes to get there and back and I'm wearing my bloody steel toe cap boots, try running in them.
Get's to the house, into kitchen, grab my pills, then I notice the bloody cat has been in the pet food cupboard and it's all over the kitchen floor - I don't have time for this !! Now I think most folk would do this in my situation and I quickly close the kitchen door run out the house, hoping the wife will think it happened after I left!!!
Manage to get the bus, he was running late, get on and collapse in my seat, not used to this running.
Wife calls about 09:30, 'you won’t believe what the cats done' I'm like what? (Innocently), I just say 'that cat's a bloody pest' (it’s not really)
Thing is if she reads this I'll get a slap round the head!!!

Couple of PC's to do tonight, then a few pints watching the footie.

Day 30 - Cessation 5

Oh well class day, do I confess or not..........
Well I kind of decided I was going to anyway but on the way in the car I tell Yvonne and Carly, who both say it’s up to you, if you want to be honest and feel that in yourself then, admit it.
Get to the class and hell it’s only the 3 of us, where's everyone gone... but there is a couple on holiday. But Barry with the nice complexion is not here!!!! ( what the f*ck shut up Dave) seriously though I hope he's doing ok.
Get settled in our seats, Amber asking how we are getting on, we all nod, yeah doing well!! Do I tell about Friday...? Do I Do I
Well 1st up this week is Carly, who's still going strong and not smoked for 4 weeks now, and it s been a week since her last gum. But what will her reading be on the CMR last week 15, this week.........................2 back to normal and she hasn't been to her boyfriends house, so is he living in a polluted den!!!
Yvonne next and she starts to tell us a story about all these rich kids her son hangs out with and smoke and that's one of her real main things for stopping is to try and get her son to stop as well as for her own health. Oh and now she is on about Botox and teeth whitening, boob jobs, and some sort of irrigation, Carly seems to be interested but I'm like what the F*CK.
But anyhow she does the reading, and gets a 2, well done that’s 2 little ducks.
Me next and I do confess to my falling off the wagon last Friday, which is accepted and apart from that I'm doing fine, still get the stomach pains occasionally. My reading, bit worried what it’s going to be having had the 2 draws, but ACE I read a god dam 2, can't believe it, so chuffed.
I can do this.

Day 29 - Last Day Off

Catching up on a few pc repairs today, and still thinking about my Friday mess up and whether I should tell the class tomorrow. But I have decided and I am, no point in lying!!
We all have a bit of a cold at the moment so I am left up myself to watch Flash Forward and Ugly Betty, they are very good.
No urge atall today for a cigarette, so fingers crossed, I can do this, I know I can, and I will.

Day 28 - Sunday

Working in the garden today, getting some decking down and a new fence, so helping out with that, meeting my brother Bri for a few pints today, don’t catch up so much with him working offshore now.
It’s good to catch up, he smokes and I go outside with him when he goes for one and I have no urge, so hopefully Friday was just a mistake.
Cat home from Bingo so we can watch X Factor results and Cheryl does live performance which was rather impressive. As does Whitney Houston, good to see her back but I have to say after her performance being chatted to by Dermot she looked out of it.............
Dam the twins are safe again, Rikki goes, shame as I though he was decent this week!!

Day 27 - Dont Know

I'm up early and off to the chemist and get the pills, take one straight away, still annoyed at myself.
Stopped Monday, draw Friday does that mean my stop date is invalid?
Bit depressed today, but got to get past that, the wife and eldest are off to watch the footie, and it’s his first so hope he enjoys it.
Me and the youngest at home watching a movie, so I can get the results on at 3!!! No urge for cigarette so hopefully that fuck up has passed.
Saturday night X Factor time, eldest loved the footie, which is good even though it’s not the team I support.
Couple glasses of red, during X Factor, great show, loved Jamie as usual but Olly really good as well.
No urge for a smoke.

Day 26 - Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I have half day today (pm), not back till Tuesday.
I phone doctor as requested and bonus my prescription is ready, so I will pop in past on the way home at lunch time, ok morning without a pill, it will be fine.
Hey and it is.
Go to doctor, pick up prescription, and go to chemist, THEY HAVE NONE IN STOCK!! WON’T HAVE UNTIL TOMORROW MORNING!!!
Shitty pants, what the hell, total panic, but hey its cool I can manage did the morning no problems.
Things going not too bad go for Friday pints as usual, it’s going not too bad, but decide to go home earlier than usual.
Get home have a bite to eat, couple of glasses of wine, FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!
I see a pack of cigarettes with one in the wife must have left it, SHIT SHIT SHIT!!!
I go outside and spark it up and have two draws, it tastes like shit, and I feel bad and throw it away.
But I am so pissed off at myself, weak willed BASTARD!!

Day 25 - Oh Shiiiit

Get up go to work; work away no problem in wanting a cigarette, fine.
Until I phone up to get my new prescription of Champix, which yeah, goes fine they say hand your voucher in and they will print it off.
So I ask Cat to pop it into the doctors, which she does but is then told it will be ready Monday, MONDAY how the hell can it take that many days to print off a bit of paper to get some dam pills - yeah I was starting to freak out a bit!!!!
Cat explains how I didn't know how it takes 48hrs to get a prescription; they say call tomorrow morning at 8:30 to see how they are getting on.
Bit of a panic but it will be ok....

Day 24 - Pub Wednesday

Wake up, no real desire for a cigarette; go to work goes fine, no urge atall, looks good.
Couple of pc's to repair tonight before going for a few pints and pool. One pc in particular is stressing me out and I wont lie having a smoke crossed my mind but the thought lasted seconds and I carried on and got it fixed - boost.
Couple of pints and glasses of red vino, not one incline for a cigarette, I'm impressed.

Day 23 - Cessation 4

My first day as a non-smoker and I get up at 5:30am, do think about a cigarette but that passes real quick. I get the bus at 6:30am get into work about 7:00am where I would normally have another but no incline to do so atall.
9:40am and Yvonne will be picking us up to go to class. We arrive as usual, Amber her usual nice self asking if we like tea or coffee etc, we get in and we have lost another member - Barry - but I 'm sure there is a real excuse as this would be his 7th week stopped.
Amber goes round the class as usual asking how we are all getting on, Greig being first, he has smoked quite a bit at the weekend but we all knew he was going to but again he isn't smoking through the week and he reads a 6 on the CMR which is not bad. Next up is Carly who we desperately want to hear about, but she has stopped!! Stopped on Sunday and seems to be doing fine and is still reading the Paul Mckenna book - The Fag Hag has stopped lol. Now the reading... a 5 amazing going from 37 to a 5!!!
Me next, Amber asking how I'm getting on and I do indicate that I still get the dodgy stomach now and then but its something I am willing to accept in order to stop. Tell the group I stopped yesterday and not finding it too much problem, a couple of them are asking loads of questions half wishing they used the Champix but I do point out its early doors and everyone is different. Reading time I get 7, happy it’s lower but highest in the class now.......
Yvonne (stopped for 1 week) up next, she has a funny story about getting stressed out with stopping (she's cold turkey) she totally fell out with her husband in the middle of Bathroom Planet about sizes etc, and she also threw her sons mobile phone at him as his alarm was going off too long in the morning, lol, she did say when she was smoking she would probably of shouted at him and then have a fag!! But anyhow she reads 2 on the CMR, great that is non smoker status.
Carly next now she has been stopped for 3 weeks, which is good and getting on not too bad, again she is going cold turkey with the odd nicotine gum, does admit to the odd occasion when she could lose it - lol. READING IS 13 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She gets in a complete fluster, assuring us she has never had a cigarette in this time. Amber tests it herself in case it’s faulty but no she reads a 3, so Carly does it again - again 13, it was funny but its not. Reason being she is getting the Carbon Monoxide from somewhere.
It can either be her car or a faulty heater in her house for example; the only thing different she had done was stay at her boyfriend’s house and drives to work, so she needs to get them checked out!!!

Day 22- D - Day

Have my morning cigarette about 8:30, and head off to work.

It’s a standard Monday, long and boring but, I totally have no urge for a cigarette, the drugs do work!!
Quick pint on way home from work, have my tea, watch Flash Forward and Ugly Betty and in between that I have my last cigarette, even though they don’t taste the same I seem to really enjoy this one.
Bedtime and that’s me no more smoking. Fingers crossed.

Day 21 - Sunday 12 Cigs Left

Stop day tomorrow.
We decide to take the boys to Burger King at the beach and then bowling or the cinema. They opt for bowling partly as UP was sold out at the movies.
On route we have to pass through the carnivals after being to Burger King, and I am not sure who is worse the kids or the wife with the gaming machines, especially the grabber ones where hardly no-one wins !
We get our lane and get the bumpers put up for the kids, but I think Mum and Dad need them just as much! Well more Mum...
I win but not by much, Mum 2nd, my 5 year old is 3rd (he did get help from Mum and Dad) much to the disgust of our 10 year old.
7 cigarettes today so far, it’s about 6pm, Cat heading off bingo, so its Halo time. Aarggh beat again but its good fun.
Wife home back of ten,watch X Factor results, no way the twins are 1st through ! - unbelievable, Kandi Rain go out, oh well thats less eye Kandi. Finish my glass of wine then off to bed having had ten cigarettes today, 2 left in my pack. So I decide I will have one in the morning and one at night and that’s it end of.

Day 20 - Saturday

This is my last weekend smoking - stop date in 2 days...
Bought a 20 Marlboro Menthol, my last pack ever as I intend to make them last the whole weekend.
Fixed a couple of computers this morning, then played a good spell of Halo 3 as usual my eldest beats me again. Few smokes today so far, it’s about 3:30pm going to head to the local to watch the footie scores come in.
Meet a couple of guys few pints and two of them have a few cigarette breaks, I only go once which is pretty good.
Head down the road about 6, one smoke on the way, and we order takeaway, I go for Indian and Cat Chinese. Both come in about 45 mins. all eaten and ready for the X Factor, it’s the 1st live shows.
All of the acts were pretty decent, my favourite being Jamie and worst Robert and Edward.
End of the day and I have had 8 cigarettes today.

Day 19 - Double Dose Day

That’s me doubling up to the double strength pills, take my morning one about 7:00, get to work about 7:45 in a complete haze, again stomach pains, put it down to the new strength.
Never really done much today apart from walking round with a bit of paper trying to look busy!
Roll on 16:00, Stevie picking me up, as its pub Friday, but get to the pub, two pints and am away home, 1. wife at B I N G O 2. I don’t feel so hot.
Anyway get home and watch some Riggers programme with the eldest but I have to lie down, stomach is killing me, just took my 2nd pill, maybe not the brightest idea having had a couple of beers.

Day 18 - Pills kicking in big Time

Christ do not feel well today! Yeah ok its day after pub day, but took my pill about 8:30 this morning and my head is up my a*se. It does clear about 11ish, the boss will be giving me a row for not closing enough calls........... Four smokes today which is good, for me although they ain't the same... my favourite menthol are drifting away from me............ 'please don’t go' 'NO LET THEM GO' christ how many voices do I have in my head!!!! - No I ain't freaking out but anyone who has tried to stop before will know, that little nagging voice saying ' hey have another you can do it'

Day 17 - Wednesday

Not much to report, standard day at work, not smoking so much at work with Simon being on hols.
Pub night tonight, ok a few beers, but don’t tend to smoke alot as the guys I play pool with don't smoke which helps, so its good as I can kinda reduce my smoking until D - Day Monday...

Day 16 Cessation 3

Its Tuesday so it's the 3rd meeting, we have kind of dwindled down now; there is myself, Yvonne, Barry, Greig, Erin and Carly. But Amber says that’s a good turnout as alot of folk drop out etc.
Usual general chit chat Greig is still doing the lozenges when he requires them, but he has been saying he has alot of weekends coming up which includes smokers and he is not really sure he can stop just yet, but I do thin in his favour he doesn't smoke through the week just weekends - he's a BINGE smoker lol, oh christ I can't remember what he read on the carbon monoxide tester thingy, I think it was 6.
Next is Barry, he is doing really well with the patches, he does admit to the odd occasion he feels off but gets over it, now one of girls comment on how his colouring / complexion is looking better and bloody hell I tend to agree but say nowt, I don’t want to sound gay!! (Not that’s there anything being wrong with being gay)
Next is Erin, lol. sorry but she reads 37 again, but to be fair she does she, she has been smoking like a bitch.
Next is Yvonne who has now been cold turkey since Saturday night and reads 4 , and she is going good, but she had a trying weekend as she had to put her beloved cat to sleep, which ain't fine but was a good test on her resiliance on having a cigarette.
Next is me I still read 12 but I have not stopped yet, it’s a week yesterday my official stop date, so hopefully next Tuesday I will be lower......
Lastly is Carly who has been stopped for a couple of weeks and she reads a 3, which is great, and she has been good and not went out for the last couple of weekends, staying away from the temptation.
Amber seems happy with us all and offers the usual encouragement; let’s see what next week brings!

Day 15 - Its Mondaaay

Bonus my smoking buddy is on hols for week, so I won’t have the distraction so much, but I am meant to smoke as usual, so not much difference. But when I do go for a smoke it ain't the same and don’t get me wrong I love my Menthols and their just not right!!!! but obviously the drugs are working!! Tomorrow is cessation day bring it on...........

Day 14 - Sunday

Not out today, which is cool, Cat working, so its X Box time, lets play Halo, yeah we did, my eldest upstairs and the youngest and myself downstairs, blasting hell out of opponents. Good thing is don’t really think about a smoke atall, but I do sort of mid afternoon, but again it don’t seem the same. Two days till next cessation day!!

Day 13 - 2nd Day on the Drugs

Feel not too bad today, take my pill, get on with a few bits and pieces in the garden, but hell I get the stomach pain again..... need to get used to this I know.
What’s this Saturday staying in to watch the XFactor, few vinos and that’s me, couple of smokes. But for real they are starting to not taste quite right...........

Day 12 - 1st day on the Drugs !!!

Get up usual time, first thing I do is take my first pill, which is fine, have my usual standard morning cigarette, get bus at 6:30am. By 6:45 my stomach is killing me, feel really sick, try and sleep it off, get to work about 7:05, still feeling ropey. Make coffee and have my toast which is fine but for the next 2 hrs feels like I'm on some sort of drugs !! Well ok I am but you know what I mean, come 10:30 11:00 I feel ok. Is this what I have got for 12 weeks!!!!!!!!! ACE not !

So thats me one pill a day for the next 5 days then DOUBLE up the dose, holly shit !!!

But I am still meant to smoke as normal for the next week at least, I have until day 15 for my realistic last smoke.......

Day 11 - Dr. Day

Feeling good about the doctor appointment this afternoon, even though the boss had a moan about having my appointment during work time, even though its through the work but hey ho.

Get to the Dr. explain how I am doing cessation classes through the work and how I want to try the Champix. Which was fine and he asks do you have any health issues!! Yeah one I smoke and two should you not check my file to see if there is anything, yeah I'm a paranoid schizophrenic with suicidal tendencies - joking by the way...................

No but I get the prescription for the starter pack no problem. So I go to the local Pharmacist hand in my prescription and she wasn't sure if she had any....... great another delay, but no they do, great, I start tomorrow!!

Day 10 - Not Much Too Report

Feeling quite confident about seeing the Doc tomorrow, I am so ready to do it this time.
Its pub night also but the 2 guys I go out with on a Wednesday don't smoke which is a bonus and I only have two the whole night.
